Russia has lost the ability to compromise and “disappeared” philanthropy and nobility, the singer, People's Artist of the USSR Alla Pugacheva said on her Instagram page (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
She dedicated her post to the last leader of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev, who died on August 30. “I haven't cried like this in a long time. Gone is the era in which we gained freedom, ceased to be the “Evil Empire”; for the whole world and the fear for the future of their children has disappeared, — wrote Pugacheva.
According to her, Gorbachev rejected violence as a political tool and a way to maintain power. All people, including politicians, “are not without sin”, but the main thing is that mistakes should not be fatal for all mankind, the singer wrote.
“Somewhere philanthropy and nobility have disappeared. Lost the ability to compromise. If this compromise is in the interests of a people who want to live without worrying about the future of their children, let's search together. I hope it's not too late, — The artist's publication says.
Pugacheva's return to Russia at the end of August was announced by her concert director Elena Chuprakova. The departure of the singer became known in March. Pugacheva denied information about emigration, said that she had gone to Israel to rest and be treated, and would return to Russia by September 1.
