«Gazprom» at the end of July will stop one more unit at the Portovaya compressor station; for repairs, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters following a working visit to Iran.
If the repaired turbine for Nord Stream is not returned from Canada, pumping through this gas pipeline will be reduced to another 30 million cubic meters. m of gas per day, he warned.
“Where can we get a refurbished one? Completely incomprehensible. And another machine is already out of order, because there was some kind of internal lining that fell off, which Siemens confirmed, — Putin said.
According to him, two turbines are currently operating, pumping about 60 million cubic meters. m per day. “If another one comes” well, two will work. And if he doesn't come, there will be one— it will be only 30 million cubic meters per day, — added by the president.
He also said that Gazprom has not yet received official documents regarding the return of the turbine to Russia.
“Gazprom” reduced the volume of pumping through Nord Stream; to Germany, first up to 100 million cubic meters. m of fuel per day from 167 million cubic meters. m, and then — up to 67 million cubic meters m, referring to the delay in the return of the gas turbine from repair. Subsequently, the Canadian side agreed to transfer the turbine to Germany, and she should already send it to Russia, which will allow Ottawa not to violate sanctions.
