President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has set an “internal deadline” for the country's accession to the European Union, however, the public announcement by Kyiv of the designated dates would harm the progress in this matter. “If we announce a deadline, you can scare someone in the EU so much that he will deliberately slow down everything related to the European integration of Ukraine” ;,— the minister explained.
Kuleba noted that Ukraine's accession to the European Union in this case “will still be slowed down”; even if the country meets the required standards by 120%. According to him, Kyiv intends to work on this issue “calmly, reasonably and for results.”
