Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, commented on the proposal of the Estonian Foreign Minister to ban the possession of weapons on a national basis – Russians and Belarusians.
Volodin also noted that the Estonian minister added to this proposal that “it should be dealt with” and Estonian citizens who are “unfriendly” to Estonia and Ukraine and “whose thoughts and ideas may pose a threat in an aggravated situation.”
To this, the Russian politician noted that “none of the heads of European states, the European Parliament , PACE, OSCE were not outraged, did not condemn the Estonian authorities for their misanthropic position.
In addition, he drew attention to the fact that “for decades we have been observing European double standards in the field of human rights.”
Now, according to him, European politics has reached a “new level of degradation” – hatred of dissident citizens.
The State Duma Speaker emphasized that in a European country “the desire to get rid of they speak frankly.”
And he concluded: “it is obvious” that the statements of the Estonian minister were made “in order to intimidate their population.”
