US Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois) introduced a draft resolution that allows the use of American Armed Forces in Ukraine, if Russia uses chemical, biological or nuclear weapons, follows from the statement on the congressman's website.
“I am introducing this AUMF (Authorization for Use of Military Force) as a clear red line so that the administration [of US President Joe Biden] can take appropriate action if Russia uses a chemical. biological and/or nuclear weapons,— Kinzinger said.
He clarified that this resolution authorizes US President Joe Biden to use “forces to respond to a scenario” in which Russia uses any of these weapons.
“Having spoken to Secretary of State [Anthony] Blinken and listened to his serious concerns about [Russian President Vladimir] Putin's use of chemical weapons, I am confident that the United States will demonstrate to the world community that we will not tolerate senseless violence,”— added by Kinzinger.
